Copy and Paste
Gnome Terminal
In most apps Ctrl+C is used to Copy but in Gnome Terminal, it stops the currently running program. Since muscle memory is a thing, and since kingdom-wide standards are a thing, I remapped Ctrl+C to be copy and Ctrl+V to be paste.
You can change the keybinding for Cut and Paste from the default Ctrl+Shift+V Ctrl+Shift+C, Ctrl+Shift+V to what you say, namely Ctrl+C, Ctrl+V, in the Edit → Keyboard Shortcuts menu.
after remapping the Copy shortcut to Ctrl+C, you can use Ctrl+Shift+C to interrupt without having to configure anything else
