  • open a new terminal emulator: Ctrl+Alt+T
  • open a new default browser window: Ctrl+Alt+I
  • open a new default files explorer: Ctrl+Alt+F

workspace management

move entire- workspace up/down one workspace (reorder) from within the overview menu

  • down: Alt+Up
  • up: Alt+Down

bring focus up/down one workspace

  • down: Ctrl+Alt+Up
  • up: Ctrl+Alt+Down

and bring the current app with you by adding Shift

  • down: Ctrl+Alt+Shift+Up

move the currently focused application to different workspace/sidecar

change the label of the currently focused workspace
